CoD V.1.6.0- The Return of the Dan.
It has become apparent that over a month and a half has passed since last I posted. I shan't dwell on it if you don't. Jolly good!
Much has happened in the last month and a half- Christmas has come and gone, as has New Year's, and Urbana! Thing is though that after working single-mindedly in preparation for leaving for Tanzania, I suddenly came to a day in late November/early December where I realized I was done most of the preparation for leaving, and all of a sudden I was lost. This might have contributed to my not keeping in touch.
Anyways, I've recently come to the counter-realization - to my great joy - that there are only 108 days for May 9th and my departure! Just three and a half months- hoorah!
Also, in CoD 1.5.4 and 1.5.5, I shared about a need for prayer for the procurement of letters of invitation for my team from the District Commissioner - a lady who didn't seem too keen on issuing these letters. Prayer has been answered- I have just received an email from my team leaders stating that the Regional Immigration Office - which has authority over the Disctrict Commissioner's Office - has issued letters of welcome for my entire team. We now have all the necessary governmental permissions and the TIMO team to the Zaramo is good to go!
And lastly, here's another picture of my team-leaders: Emily, Tim and Caleb Tanner.
Interestingly enough, the board you see to the left of the picture, facing away from the Tanners, reads: "Wild Animals: please do not pass this point" Now, would this be an appeal to the civic sensibilities of the more literate class of wild animal; would this be indicative of a wild and suicidal streak on the part of the Tanners, who laugh in the face of danger; or would this be a board put up by the Tanner's neighbours describing the Tanner household? Hmm.....

Most definitely an appeal to the civic sensibilities of the more literate class of wild animal!
